Pick your product from the 76 CN codes in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 — consolidated as at 26 December 2025, including Regulation (EU) 2025/2650 — state your role in the chain and your size, and the check determines your regime (full or simplified) with the matching compliance deadline and the attention points relevant to your case.

03Supply chain compliance teams who want to show customers and auditors a substantiated size class, regime and deadline per entity.

What the EUDR check does and does not establish

The deforestation regulation does not impose the same obligations on everyone. Whether you carry the full due diligence obligation or follow the simplified trader regime depends on three things: which product you place on the market, which role you play in the chain and how large your undertaking is. A large trader is treated as an operator under Art. 5(2) — exactly the kind of nuance an in-house reading tends to lose.

This check answers those three questions and nothing more. It determines your regime, your size class and your deadline, and flags the attention points that come with that outcome. It does not assess country-of-origin risk, verify geolocation data or chain documentation, establish whether your product is deforestation-free, or submit a due diligence statement. The report states the tool version and the dataset vintage used, so every outcome remains traceable to the code list and thresholds it rests on.

Frequently asked questions about this tool

Which products does the code list cover?
The vintage contains 76 Annex I CN codes: wood 30, palm oil 12, rubber 12, cattle 11, cocoa 6, soya 4 and coffee 1. That is the list as consolidated on 26 December 2025. Some codes are subject to a draft Delegated Act not yet in force — instant coffee (2101), for instance, is not included, while 4101, 4104 and 4107 still are. If your code is not on the list, the tool returns no outcome.
Which deadline applies to my undertaking?
The general deadline is 30 December 2026. Micro and small undertakings established on or before 31 December 2024, whose role in the chain is established, receive the extended deadline of 30 June 2027 (Regulation (EU) 2025/2650). EUDR implementation dates have changed several times; always verify the current date on EUR-Lex.
Does the tool determine whether my product is deforestation-free?
No. The check determines only your obligation regime, size class and deadline, based on product, role and size. The due diligence itself — information collection, risk assessment and risk mitigation — remains your own responsibility, and the report does not replace legal advice.
